Global Partnership Schools’ Supplemental Educational Services (SES) team, led by Terry Hofer and Elizabeth Gandy, has been working with school districts in seven states. The SES program is making a difference, and those efforts have been recognized by the Creighton School District.

“While observing [Global Partnership Schools’] tutors at Creighton School, Gateway, and Machan, I found the instruction to be directly connected to the goal listed in the child’s Student Learning Plan. Matching the students’ instruction to their specific needs is easily met through the use of [Global Partnership Schools’] customized computer program,” said a Creighton School District administrator in an email. “The students looked happy to be there, which says a lot for [Global Partnership Schools’] tutors’ ability to build a positive relationship with the students centered around learning, even after those children put in a long school day.”

Karen Johnson, Global Partnership Schools’ program director in Arizona, said, “Our lead coach and tutors are excellent, and they are committed to working with parents and teachers to evaluate each student’s strengths and individual learning plans are developed to guide instruction and ensure success.”

Dr. Gandy added, “Our program engages students in creative, active learning and includes KidsTalk, a unique feature that promotes student self-knowledge, self-esteem and resiliency.”

“Every educator I know got into education to make a difference in the lives of children,” said Dr. Hofer. “The Global Partnership Schools SES program has been developed to provide a rigorous educational experience that will move the needle on student achievement. Additionally, we are committed to opening students’ eyes to the boundless opportunities in a global society and to inspiring a deep-rooted impact that extends long after our program has ended.”
